Biscuits Café - Milwaukie: Delight in Comfort Food and Exceptional Service

Found this place on line while looking for fun places to eat while in town. We shared Biscuits and gravy with sausage and red potatoes and it was delicious! Our server was very attentive and friendly. And the portions are huge!

My partner and I got the chicken and waffles which we were looking forward to. The chicken was good but has a hard crunchy exterior similar to catfish fry. Not much seasoning or flavor but cooked to perfection. My partners said the chicken was “meh” The waffles were a bit of a let down. They were really dense, almost cake like or even possibly undercooked. Had nice buttery flavor but overall the waffle was a 5.5/10 for me. The staff brought our check and asked if we would like a box and explained I probably won’t take it home because I was disappointed with the waffle. Our waiter was extremely kind and offered to bring something in place of the waffle and brought me French toast. Just for that fact I would rate this place even more based on their customer service. Overall I would rate the food a 7/10. But the service was a 10/10 Jeff was an amazing host! Would likely come back and try something else from their menu another time. Side note: Little busy and loud on Sunday morning as to be expected but had a slight headache so being by the kitchen and loud silverware clatter wasn’t helpful. Also they offer gluten free waffles for an additional $2 which is nice that they have that option.

Buscuits Cafe is a hidden gem. The downplayed exterior hides the clean, bright, and comfortable interior. We had the Original Breakfast and the Fat (something) burrito. Both were delicious. Our servers were relaxed and very attentive. The food came out fast, was delicious, and a good value. Our server even read the 'SEE ID' that I put on the back of my card abd checked my ID. Nobody does that and I really appreciate her attention to detail. We're just passing through but will plan to visit next time we're around. Highly recommend it!

I've only had breakfast at these restaurants, and it has always been fabulous. Big portions, old -school style, not all "Portlandie" and strange. Staff are always cheerful, place shines bright and is very clean. Similar to Black Bear Diner, for those who know.

They serve a great deal of food for a reasonable price. Pretty expansive menu as well. Waitress was very nice and was asking us if we were good fairly rapidly at the start of the meal but we didn't see her for awhile before the check. Overall positive experience.

Incredibly friendly and quick staff. Food is quickly made and was delicious Jeff was the host who helped me, his friendliness, professionalism and the speed he worked were phenomenal. Even if I hadn’t loved the food his attitude made sure I want to come back again. The meat lovers omelette and the fresh cinnamon roll were awesome I highly recommend.
